The Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation launched its new official logo, reflecting institutional modernization and evolving sports federation identities. The launch took place at Thursday evening's roundtable conference in the Green Hall media center at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City, ahead of the Snooker Masters, one of the sport's four major global events, scheduled for 8–16 August 2025.
The announcement came during a meeting between Federation President Naif Al-Jawini, World Snooker Tour CEO Simon Brownell, former world snooker champion Ken Doherty, and Saudi snooker player Ziyad Al-Qabbani.
The modern logo carries artistic and symbolic meaning, featuring an elegant map of Saudi Arabia that highlights the federation's national character, deep connection to Saudi identity, and future strategy.
Acting Federation President Mr. Naif Al-Jawini said: “Launching the new logo is an important milestone in building a visual identity that reflects our ambitions and strategic goals while meeting internationally recognized sporting standards. We chose this moment to coincide with Saudi Arabia hosting the Snooker Masters, one of the world's strongest tournaments.”
Al-Jawini added: “We are moving confidently toward establishing the federation as a leading body responsible for developing the sport in the Kingdom, providing an attractive and motivating environment for players of all ages, and competing at world championships in the near future.”
World Snooker Tour CEO Simon Brownell said: “We are delighted to return to Saudi Arabia, which continues to establish itself as a global sporting destination through rapid development and commitment to supporting diverse sports. This is one of the most important events on the world snooker calendar, building on the success of the previous edition here. We thank the Kingdom for its warm welcome, generous hospitality, and prominent role in hosting and organizing events of this caliber, helping the game grow locally and internationally.”
Snooker legend and former world champion Ken Doherty said: “I am very happy to return to Saudi Arabia and take part in this special tournament. The previous edition was wonderful, and everyone feels the warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. The facilities are amazing, and Jeddah's Green Hall provides an ideal atmosphere that inspires players to excel. I thank the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation for its great efforts. We look forward to an even better edition and hope to return soon.”
Promising Saudi player Ziyad Al-Qabbani said: “My greatest ambition is to win the World Cup. That goal can only be achieved by participating in major international tournaments hosted by the Kingdom, which allow us to compete against the best and sharpen our skills. I am proud to represent my country here and thank our leadership for its continued support in hosting these tournaments and enabling Saudi youth to experience international competition. I also appreciate the federation's efforts to support and develop local talent and open opportunities at the highest level.”
