Saudi international referees at the 2025 World Pool Championship, which concluded last Saturday at Jeddah's Green Hall, received praise from the World Pool-Billiard Association and Matchroom. The feedback highlighted improvements over the 2024 event, particularly faster ball racking. Referees with basic English skills managed shot-clock tables well. Enthusiasm and readiness were generally excellent, and most Saudi referees demonstrated stamina while working very long hours.
Eight referees took part in the 2025 World Pool Championship: Khalaf Al-Ruwaili, Nawaf Al-Shammari, Fahad Al-Saffar, Saud Al-Owais, Saleh Al-Matar, Mohammed Al-Ruqai'i, Hani Al-Nafisah and Yahya Badawi.
The championship was organized through a partnership between the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation and Matchroom, under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Sport.
