The Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation wishes to clarify that, following constructive discussions with Matchroom, an agreement has been reached not to continue organizing future editions of the World Pool Championship and the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters, following the successful hosting of last year's editions of both tournaments.
The Kingdom successfully hosted two major events in Riyadh and Jeddah during 2024 and 2025, welcoming world champions in both sports. Eighteen Saudi players also had the opportunity to compete alongside elite players. The events attracted thousands of spectators from around 40 countries, many of whom experienced elite snooker and billiards competition live for the first time.
During this period, Saudi junior players made notable progress through their participation in international tournaments, including the World Nineball Tour, the Middle East Q Tour and the Asian Junior Championships, marking an important step toward strengthening their presence on the global stage.
The Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation and Matchroom thank all players, officials and participants for their contributions to the success of these events.
