The federation has approved ranking tournament regulations for 2025–2026, covering tournament organization, points calculations, qualification for the two Kingdom Championships, and technical and organizational rules. This supports ongoing efforts to develop billiards and snooker across the Kingdom. The regulations provide for three ranking tournaments in each of the three regions:
the Central, Western and Eastern regions, throughout the sporting season.
Players earn ranking points at each tournament according to their finishes. Points are totaled at season end to determine overall standings. The top four from each region qualify directly for the two Kingdom Championships, totaling 12 players. Eight further places are awarded through the Last Chance Tournament, bringing the finals field to 20 players.
The federation adopted a detailed points system from the round of 64 through the final placings. The champion receives 1,000 points, the runner-up 800, with points decreasing by placing to 100 for participation. The regulations also address ties, changes of region, and points deductions at season end.
The regulations require all players to follow disciplinary and sportsmanship rules and the rules adopted by Asian and world billiards and snooker bodies. The federation reserves the right to change tournament dates and venues for organizational reasons.
The federation said the new season will feature organized, progressive work to improve competition and develop a new generation of Saudi players across the Kingdom, continuing its efforts to advance the sport and support national talent.
